According to Ancient Chinese Healing Art, every 2 hours, the chi (energy) in our body surges in every 24 cycles. At 2:00 a.m., it goes to the liver, the part of the body that stores blood and operates the type of soul called Hun. The Hun is closely linked to the universal mind and brings images from the eternal world. It is also where dreams come from.
At 3:00 a.m., the chi transfers to the lung, the part of the body that enables us to breath and feel sensations, and is also the operator of the type of soul called Po. According to the book Nature, Knowledge, Imagery in an Ancient Medical Text, the function of the lung is to control the chi of the whole body and the chi of respiration.
During these times, our Hun and Po are active and thus; dreams occur. This is a law of nature that human beings must understand. We normally dream between 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. because of this phenomenon and not because the portal to the other world opens and spirits become stronger. However, if the chi of these 2 souls are too much active, the result would be unpleasant sleep, and getting bad dreams and nightmares.
We can notice that at this hour, babies are usually born and mothers give birth with less difficulty. Natural death mostly occurs during this time as well.
